Buffalo Bills wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin has a torn meniscus in his right knee, the team announced Monday.
Benjamin, who was acquired from the Carolina Panthers on Oct. 31, sustained the injury during Buffalo's 54-24 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Nov. 19.
The 26-year-old failed to practice last week and did not travel with the team for the Bills' 16-10 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
Coach Sean McDermott was asked about a torn meniscus during his Monday press conference and said that Benjamin did not suffer the injury and is considered day-to-day. The team later said McDermott thought the question was about torn ligaments.
Benjamin has reeled in four receptions for 62 yards in two games with the Bills (6-5), who turned to Deonte Thompson and rookie Zay Jones at wide receiver on Sunday.
