If McGyver, the ingenious fixer-of-stuff in the long-running ABC series, could stop a missile with a paperclip, then surely a woman could do it — probably backwards and in heels, too.That’s what a group of prestigious engineers want, anyway. The National Academy of Engineering is joining forces with Hollywood producers to solicit ideas for a television series featuring a strong female lead, who is — you guessed it — an engineer.
